Still closed...

Hi everyone.
We were in Italy for 3 months and  Rod while we were there was offered a new job in Melbourne .We came back, searched for a rental and moved in the space of a  month !
Life has been pretty hectic since as  we have been settling into Melbourne and trying to get the bakery ready for sale.
I have been back and forth since the move cleaning and organizing so
I still haven't opened the shop.
My next job is to install a watering system in Maitland as the weather is warming up quickly and I don't want to lose my plants ! My neighbour has nso far been watering for me but I need a long term solution and as we are in a terrace here, I can't even bring them here.
I am looking forward to getting the doors open again cleaning up my stock files and will be posting items discounted for sale. ( I really need to reduce my stock as it is everywhere !)
I am looking for a shop to rent here in Melbourne, or a property to purchase that I can still operate flawed and fabulous out of.
I want to sell and make the move permanent as I would like to be closer to our adult children.
We have an enormous amount of stuff though which will be hard to move without the right property to move to.
So my apologies if you have tried  to visit the shop unsuccessfully. It has been expected but I am on track organizing.
I plan to travel regularly and open the shop,  as Rod works in Sydney regularly. I will post Sale details on Facebook and there will be plenty of bargains!
Will post again soon.
Expect to see us again  early October !

Flawed and fabulous closed until July

Hi,
I got another call today from a lady hoping that the shop would be open today.
I reduced my hours on google but it wouldn't let me clear them all together and I didn't want to mark us permanently closed.
We am in Italy until early July.
I am sorry if you have come to see us in the last few weeks and found us closed. I have been posting on facebook about our travels. SPRING IS THE BEST !

Garden section finally happening !

We finally got the fence built in the carpark. Rod still has a parking spot but mine is starting to fill up with stock ! I have so many plans to fill the area. Stacks of things to hang and then I am going to let the plants go wild ! If we put Rod's car out ... party time loads of space to entertain and I can finally pull out my 10ft baltic pine trestle table.
I didn't find out my style was boho until I was 50... Funny that... everything then made sense.
I LOVE colour, textiles, gardening, worn wood, paint finishes, old wares, brass copper rusty iron, cane, things warm used and full of life well lived. Imperfections are ok... flaws are fabulous !

New workshop

Rod demolished the old roof off the covered lane and last week, the builders reframed it and reroofed it in zincalume and suntuff.
It is so much better as it is strong and light inH3 treated pine. They tell me it is both water and white ant proof. The old roof was so bad it wasn't safe to walk on. We can now get the old iron window serviced and reframed. The side window frame was comletely  eaten out by white ants so we have removed it. Builders will be reframing it shortly. They sealed up under the eaves where the pigeons were getting in and did some minor brick repairs. The old iron chimney from the boiler is coming down too.
Very soon all the repairs on this side will be done and we can get on to having it painted.
It is going to be great to have a proper workshop. Will be moving my materials in this weekend. Just got to have the cleaners sink set up and I am all set.
